Wallaroo Terms and Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. Your booking and payment constitutes your agreement to all of them in their entirety.
It is your responsibility to ensure the details on your booking confirmation are correct and to bring to our attention immediately should you notice any errors or discrepancies.
General terms of booking
We require your full name, home address, email address, phone number and 50% deposit to secure your booking.
The remaining 50% is due and payable seven (7) days before the check-in date. If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.
Any payments received in advance of the due date form part of the deposit and are subject to our cancellation/refund policy.
You will be required to provide the name/s of all guests, confirm room/bed configurations and vehicle registration plate/s associated with the booking via our Guest Form. The number of guests (including children) must not exceed the number stated at the time of booking. Undisclosed guests are not permitted to stay at Wallaroo anytime.
You will receive a confirmation email with the final invoice details. Before checking-in you will receive Things to Know, Driving Directions and your keyless access pin to be used for the duration of your stay.
We reserve the right to charge you for any extra costs associated with additional undisclosed guests, cleaning necessary, wilful damage or breakage after your stay.
Fundamental house rules
No pets
No smoking
No parties
No shoes inside the lodge (on carpeted areas)
Consider our neighbours — quiet time after 10pm
Please leave the lodge neat and tidy
Arrival and departure
Standard check-in time is after 2pm on the day of arrival and check-out time is before 10am for departure. These times can sometimes be changed by prior arrangement.
It is your responsibility to arrive on the day that you have booked. If for any reason you are late arriving and/or leave early for the period you have booked, the full cost of the entire booked period remains payable.
Cancellations
Please note a $25 cancellation fee is payable for ALL CANCELLATIONS to cover administrative and bank transaction costs.
The following cancellation policy applies to all bookings:
More than four (4) weeks notice before check-in date – 100% refund of all monies paid (less cancellation fee)
Less than four (4) and greater than two (2) weeks notice before check-in date – 50% refund of all monies paid (less cancellation fee)
Less than two (2) and greater than one (1) weeks notice before check-in date – 25% refund of all monies paid (less cancellation fee)
Less than one (1) week notice before check-in date – no refund is payable.
In the event of cancellation, genuine attempts will be made to re-book the lodge for the same stay period and all monies returned (less the cancellation fee) where possible if the lodge is successfully re-booked for the period.
Should you need to modify or change your booking, we will do our best to accommodate the requested changes depending on availability.
In the event that we must cancel your booking for circumstances beyond our control a full refund will be made. However, we will not be held liable to guests for any further costs incurred.
Additional cleaning fees
A fundamental term of these conditions is that guests must treat the property with respect, leave the lodge clean, in a neat and tidy condition as they found it at check-in. Any guests not leaving the property in a reasonable manner will be charged an additional $150 cleaning fee.
Wilful damage and theft
Please note that no furniture is to be moved during your stay. Further charges will apply if any wilful or excessive damage has occurred to any part of the lodge, its furnishings or recreation facilities after your stay.
Furthermore, all lodge furnishings, fittings, accessories, etc. (including kitchen appliances, linen and library items) are accounted for and a stocktake of inventory will be completed after your stay. You will be charged for any missing items and reported to Police for theft and/or damage as appropriate.
Minor accidental damage and breakage
We acknowledge that accidental breakages can occur (e.g. glassware and crockery). It would be appreciated if these breakages are reported as soon as possible to us via phone and/or email so that we can replace/resolve for our next guests.
Waste water
Wallaroo uses an Earthsafe wastewater and sewage treatment system. Guests must flush ONLY the toilet paper provided (i.e. no sanitary products, wipes, paper towel, hair and/or chemical cleaners). Any fees incurred to repair the system after your stay due to negligence will be charged at cost.
Fireplace and fire pit area
During the winter months the fireplace and fire pit area are offered to guests and are to be operated by adults over the age of 18 only at their own risk. Please use only the firewood provided.
Guests will be held liable for any damage to the property including smoke or ember damage from incorrect use. You are personally responsible for extinguishing the fire entirely whenever you leave the premises even for short periods.
Supervision of children around all fireplaces is required and is the responsibility of parents/guardians.
No fires are permitted anywhere else on the property at any time.
Spa
The spa is automatically set to a safe and comfortable temperature and cannot be changed. Do not sit/lie on the spa cover and never leave the spa uncovered when unattended – always fasten all cover clips.
Children must be supervised at all times. You should seek medical advice before using the spa if you suffer from a suspected heart condition, diabetes, are pregnant and/or think you may be pregnant. When using the spa it is strongly advised that you not be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. A CPR chart is provided in case of an emergency.
You will be held liable for any damage to the spa during your stay including the replacement cost for contaminated water.
Security notice
Wallaroo is protected by video surveillance to secure the property for your safety. Please note there are no cameras located in and/or around the spa, fire pit area and back deck for your privacy.
Theft and loss of personal items
Theft and loss of any personal items is the guests’ responsibility. We provide a safe in the lodge for security and take no responsibility for guests’ personal items during their stay.
Eaglereach shared facilities
Always be respectful when using shared community facilities at Eaglereach and put any equipment away after use.
We ask our guests to please respect our neighbours and not trespass on any other lodge or retreat boundary. Quiet time is from 10pm.
Before departing
Please check you have collected all of your personal items. Charges may apply to return forgotten items.
Customer satistaction survey
After your stay we will send you a short Customer Satisfaction Survey. We sincerely appreciate your honest feedback/comments so that we can continuously improve our offering. Note that no personal data or sensitive information is collected, and all information is processed in accordance with our privacy policy outlined in our Terms of Service.
Indemnity
A condition of booking and staying at Wallaroo Nature Retreat means that all guests understand and agree to indemnify the owners against any responsibility or action(s) (legal or other), due to any action(s), incident(s), loss or injury(s) while within or outside of the premises (including, but not limited to, the grounds, facilities, structures, etc.) during a stay or at any other time.
Guests acknowledge that they are wholly responsible for their actions, conduct, health and safety during their stay.
